L'Oreal Colour Trophy 2014 North Western Finals

This week was a long and painful week for me in more ways than one, from my Finalist model letting me know a week prior that he didn't want to do the competition to breaking my leg 3 days before. However, having all that stress made it all the more valuable when I finished in a respectable 10th place.

With only 2 days left until the finals in Manchester I was lucky enough to have a friend who was willing to let me get my hands on his head and for him to model for me for  the Colour Trophy 2014.

As much of a relief this was, it was also a bit of a challenge as the original look i had planned was now out the window.

The day and event as a whole was fantastic to be a part of and L'oreal did a festival themed lobby area with photo booth and a mini makeover area to try out so even people not competing could become a part of the night.

As you know, I was competing in the Mens Image Award final 2014 which was eventually won by Electric Hairdressing, Liverpool and The Colour Room, Stockport who both created a haircut inspired with an undercut, shaved sides and a floppy quiff as I can best describe it. Even though I had an undercut, I went for curls which this year the judges weren't looking for but even so, the two winning looks and models were both brilliant individually.

In the middle of the evening, while the judges made their decisions there was a show for us created by the L'Oreal ID Team showing us there SS14 and AW14/15 looks for the catwalk. 

It's worth mentioning the fantastic winners for the L'Oreal Colour Trophy in Manchester and here are a couple of pics of them collecting their awards

Good Luck to the salons who made it through to the Grand Final at the Grosvenor Hotel in Mayfair, London. They all did fanatically well but in the end the salons that prevailed were very strong with their looks!
