Blonde colour correction

When a client moves home sometimes we need a new hairdresser, with new hairdresser comes different techniques and products. This is what's happened to my client Ashleigh who has moved home and is now showing the signs of 3 or 4 blonde colour bands in her hair from using high lifting colours of different brands.

We all know as clients and hairdressers its not easy to match up colours from previous with no history of what that salon or stylist use, as well as the experienced guess work of what shade blonde the colour will actually will develop to.

On this occasion we are going to correct the hair colour to make Ashleigh's hair a same toned natural looking blonde hair colour.

Even on the most sensitive of scalps the goldwell dust free bleach is perfect for getting the hair as blonde as we possibly can in one lift. Apart from the fact it doesn't actually feel like there is bleach on your head it lifts easily 1 shade lighter than normal blue powder bleach in half the time, and it smells a lot nicer.

This product is just perfect to work with, once the dark roots have lifted as bright as the brightest part of the blonde hair, u can see how the dark blonde colour band appears from where previous stylists haven't matched the colour.

Now is the time to add some freshly mixed goldwell bleach to the dark bands of blonde, put the hair up in a plastic cap and leave for 10 mins

We have washed and dried the hair and it has now lifted brilliantly and is all one white blonde.

Now we have gotten a blank canvas to work with apply a full colour too hair. We have chosen to use Loreal majirel 10 1/2 -1....

40 minutes later after washing the hair we used Neil & Wolf sculpting lotion which we think is a brilliant product to add moisture after bleaching hair and generally make blow drying a lot easier.

Finish by blow drying with a big brush to get root lift, curl with Ghd's and to top it all off a few sprays of Neil & Wolf super shine spray to add a glow and leave a very nice smell.

There we have it in 3 hours we have beautiful blonde shiny hair.

Football Leagues Worst new haircuts 13/14

Over the last few decades, footballers have shown off some pretty amazing hair styles that have made headlines for all the right or wrong reasons!

80's for example, offered the likes of the infamous Kevin Keegan Perm,

While the 90's offered us the pony-tail sported by former Arsenal goalie  David Seaman.

So this season we thought why not point out what we think this seasons openers haircuts will be remembered for the right or wrong reasons.

This week we will start with the #fl72 clubs.

Mark Beck of Carlisle united was the first haircut i noticed this week with a cut that is a great example of how certain hairlines will not do you any favours with the modern haircuts

Rotherham United's Ben Pringle will come as no surprise to people with his entry on the worst haircuts and the picture really does speak for its self long ginger hair died blonde has just done him no favours with what already looks like difficult hair to manage.

Will Hughes comes in next. Now this one i do feel harsh putting up as technically there is nothing wrong with the Derby County players haircut and it is an improvement from what he had last season so he is the most improved, but it just doesn't suit certain people to have longer hair..

Wade Elliott was sporting this Under-cut look for Birmingham City against Yeovil Town this weekend. Now i am a hairdresser who loves the 'cool' haircuts and am fully in favour of an under-cut at the moment but i just dont think this version is as well executed as it could be. Very cool idea but not right on this occasion

New Watford striker Acuna who is one of the on loan Udinese contingency has what can only be called a Shocker now i struggled to get a picture of this haircut so i hope u can see how bad it actually is technically and just bad in general, shocking hair from Paraguayan to introduce himself to English Football which is strange when Lewis McGugan shows off exactly how this haircut should be done..

Now i know that people will agree and Disagree with us on what i have listed on this post but we welcome you to get involved with your opinions on our Twitter or Facebook

We will be listing a Best and Worst Premier league new haircuts next week as well

We have now made an Instagram account with some of our work which is updated weekly. Please feel free to like and follow

See you all again soon...
